This session presents an actual example of how to authentically and dynamically leverage iPad usage in the classroom to motivate writers and build skills. Students learn both how to plan and manage a city while using a variety of writing styles and skills in authentic challenges. The recipe is simple: SimCity supports the writing program while the writing program supports SimCity. We will cover the fun curriculum developed for this unit of study, as well as both the philosophical and practical aspects of this unique approach to learning.
