"The Digital DBQ – Enhancing Historical Thinking Skills in the Classroom"

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

A student of history should no longer view learning of the past as the rote memorization of names, dates and facts. Whether you are 1:1 or have a class set of iPads it’s time to bring history alive in your classroom through the use of technology. Together we will explore how to bring Document Based Activities) to life through the use of iBook’s, Keynote, and Explain Everything, allowing students to enhance and develop their historical thinking skills. See how the use of technology-enhanced curriculum allows your students to create a dialogue between the past and present. From analyzing sources to making connections across the curriculum and through evaluating multiple perspectives, you can redefine the history experience a student has in your classroom. Participants will leave with an iBook, titled, “The Digital DBQ,” with an overview of how to implement this process and some ready to use DBQs!
